I feel lucky to be a born and bred Londoner! I have lived in London the whole of my life but for many of those years I whizzed around London not appreciating or seeing the wonders all around me. I took many of our historic sites for granted because they were just…there! 

 

However, that has all changed, I now enjoy learning all I can about our historic City, the ‘Square Mile’. The City of London has so much to offer. It has examples of life from the year 43AD when the Romans arrived and founded Londinium, the medieval City and some rare gems of buildings surviving from the 1100’s to the glittering skyscrapers and modern art work bringing us to present day. The City of London is a great example of the old blending with the new in so many ways. Your only problem may be shutting me up!
