Spyros Katsaros has over 18 years of urban design, masterplanning and community and stakeholder engagement experience across a diverse range of environments, densities and scales. He joined PRP directly after he completed his architectural and urban design studies in the UK in 2005. His architectural knowledge allows him to understand and incorporate the architectural principles surrounding urban design strategies, bridging the stages of a project from concept to delivery and beyond. He has experience in coordinating the design development of large, complex projects in conjunction with local authorities, housing associations, developers and other stakeholders while operating in the context of community participation. 

 

He has exceptional knowledge when it comes to designing and implementing responsive and inclusive stakeholder engagement strategies, bringing his understanding of key elements of the local community and the co-production process which is hugely beneficial in helping schemes progress within programme, refocusing design and planning on the human scale.

 

Spyros is the director of the urban design and masterplanning team at PRP. The team has a diverse portfolio and is leading in the preparation of urban design documentation, design guidance, strategic visions and a variety of regeneration and masterplanning schemes across the UK including, Chobham Manor’s first Olympic legacy site, Western Ebbsfleet Garden City, Stevenage Town Centre regeneration and the High Path regeneration in Merton. Spyros has also led on the urban design and the community engagement aspects of a number of significant projects including Portobello Square in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, Maiden Lane in Kings Cross and the regeneration of Clapham Park in Lambeth.
