Stephen Barrett is a Director at RSHP and has over 30 years of experience with the practice. He is the partner responsible for the practice’s projects in France.
Stephen was project architect for the Bordeaux Law Courts, Terminal T4 at Barajas airport in Madrid, the Palmas Altas eco-campus in Seville, the air traffic control tower at Heathrow airport in London, the new Terminal 1 at Lyon-Saint Exupéry airport and more recently the East Wing terminal extension at Geneva airport.
In addition to a dozen airport projects, Stephen led the multidisciplinary teams of urban and strategic projects Grand Paris (2008 - 2012), Bercy Charenton (2009 - 2019), Gare de Lyon Daumesnil (2014 -), The Future Roads of Grand Paris as well as the Maine-Montparnasse masterplan project.
Currently he is working on the new extension to the Bayeux Tapestry Museum and a new mixed-use development of the Jean Moulin site in La Défense, Paris.
He is also responsible for the firm’s sustainable development group and has conducted the carbon audit of the practice’s activities.
