Stuart Kirkwood has over three decades experience in the development sector. As Network Rail’s director of development, Stuart is responsible for using operational land to create development sites, and through partnering with developers, regenerating stations and surrounding areas. This in turn releases vital capital to help fund the railway.

Stuart has also championed Network Rail’s collaborative way of working that prioritises joint ventures, direct development and greater scheme investment over straightforward land disposals.
