Ulrich Blum co-leads the Analytics&Insights team at Zaha Hadid Architects, where he investigates how data, emerging technologies, and spatial intelligence are redefining the workplace of tomorrow. With a strong foundation in parametric design and algorithmic planning, Blum has contributed to more than thirty projects globally, including the Infinitus Headquarters in Guangzhou and the innovative live‑work campus “Unicorn Island” in Chengdu.
His approach combines quantitative spatial analysis with a deep appreciation for user experience and organizational culture. A graduate of the Architectural Association, Design Research Laboratory in London, Blum’s early career included positions at OMA Asia and Gehry Technologies in Hong Kong. Today, he shares his expertise as a Professor of design at the Münster School of Architecture and delivers talks worldwide on how architecture can adapt to evolving patterns of presence, interaction and human‑machine collaboration.
