This PechaKucha explores the latest schools and educational buildings across the UK that are being designed or retrofitted to be net zero.

To meet the UK's ambitious 2050 targets, we need to decarbonise construction and estates as much as possible including school buildings. The DfE has already committed to all new buildings being Net Zero but how far does it still need to go on rethinking energy and heating systems, reducing embodied carbon and rethinking structures and lifespans of existing and new builds, as well as adapting to climate change and driving improvements to biodiversity?

This PechaKucha will present a series of best practice examples of school buildings and estates across the UK that are exemplar in their approach to sustainability.
