Join this NLA Study Tour to hear from AtkinsRéalis on plans for phase 2 of the Barbican Podium, the City of London’s largest open space.
This Study Tour will take you around phase 2 of the iconic Barbican Podium, providing an insight into the approved landscape proposals for enhancing this as a thriving place for people and nature. With water ingress a significant issue there is an opportunity as part of the repair works to enhance the podium through a more climate resilient design approach.
On the Study Tour across the podium, Neil Manthorpe will highlight the project challenges, design solutions being worked through and provide an overview of the renewed design.
The meeting point is at podium level adjacent to Beech Gardens.
This can either be accessed by the steps within the Barbican Underground Station and crossing over the bridge or by following the stairs from Beech Street beside Lauderdale Tower.
