Join St Modwen for a study tour of New Covent Garden Market, London’s original and largest wholesale fresh produce market based on the south bank of the River Thames since 1974.
New Covent Garden Market has historically operated on three sites totalling 57 acres. These sites are being consolidated onto a single 37-acre site, to provide c. 62,559 sqm of new wholesale market (including ancillary uses). The consolidation of the market will release c. 20 acres of land for redevelopment to be transformed to provide residential-led mixed uses schemes of c. 3,000 homes, retail, office and community uses.
VINCI St. Modwen (VSM) in partnership with the Covent Garden Market Authority (CGMA) is delivering this landmark multi-phased redevelopment project.
The tour led by Lorna Heslop (Senior Planning Manager) and Nick Harrington (Senior Construction Manager) will focus on the redevelopment of the market site, the new market building and the mixed-use Apex / Entrance & Thessaly Road site development zones.
Please note this is an in-person event and with a maximum capacity of 30 therefore tickets will be allocated on a first come first served basis, with a maximum of two tickets per organisation.
