Webinar: High density living: what next for tall buildings in London?

Talk

Wednesday 20 May 2020
10:00 - 11:00

Presenting the NLA London Tall Buildings Survey 2020, this webinar will hear from the research team about the survey findings, followed by a discussion about the possible impact that COVID-19 might have on the pipeline in the future.
The NLA Annual Tall Buildings Survey 2020 has once more confirmed trends already seen in the past years in London – that tall buildings are now a common form of housing; and density, especially close to transport nodes and in opportunity areas, is increasing. Following the COVID-19 crisis, what will be the consequences on construction sites and planning submissions? What will be the future of high density and tall buildings clusters? Will there be any lesson learned in how tall buildings are designed?
