CLOSED: Lea River Park: a new landscape for London

The Lea River Park which has been developed by London Legacy Development Corporation and the London Boroughs of Newham and Tower Hamlets is a major new landscape for London, extending for 3 miles along the banks of the River Lea, from Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to the Thames at Blackwall, and creating links to the Royal Docks and Canary Wharf.

The Lea River Park, designed by 5th Studio will be the final section in the creation of the 26-mile Lee Valley Regional Park, first envisaged in 1944 to connect the edge of London’s greenbelt to the River Thames.

This exhibition hosted by the NLA explores the past, present and future of the project, showcasing current and planned works that are leading the evolution of this former industrial backland.
