In March this year a competition was launched to find an architect to design a new Students’ Centre for the London School of Economics and Political Science on its Aldwych campus. The new Students’ Centre will play a vital role in enhancing the student experience and in furthering the LSE’s aim of creating a world class estate.
The competition was organised by RIBA Competitions on behalf of the LSE. The competition received worldwide interest with a total of 133 practices applying to take part. Six were shortlisted and given six weeks to prepare design concepts in response to the client’s brief.
This exhibition features the design concepts by the shortlisted and winning architects.
