The London Society is hosting a live event on 8 May from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Earls Court to discuss what the vision for the 40-acre site that was once home to the Exhibition Centres will become.
The last few years have seen a variety of different proposals for the site. However, the new masterplan will provide a mixed-use development that includes housing, workspace, culture and landscape.
New detailed plans for the first phase of development have been released, with construction due to start in 2026. The views and feedback from the community have been central to their plans and this will continue to develop ahead of the planning application for submission in June. These first designs underpin the masterplan pillars of an inclusive neighbourhood, innovation, culture, and nature, as well as a commitment to net zero.
The live event will feature expert knowledge from the developers and designers of the project as well as the local community, to discuss the renewal plans to transform the disused land into a place for creation, innovation and inclusivity.
