NLA's Big Quiz raises over £6.7k for charity

Last week, 150 NLA Members tested their knowledge of London’s history, music and current affairs at the NLA Big Quiz 2019!

The quiz raised £6,772 to support two NLA staff on their fundraising efforts for charity challenges. Lucie Murray, senior programme curator at NLA, cycled 1500km to MIPIM in France this week for Club Peloton. Emily Wilson, senior account manager, will be running the London Marathon in April, her second marathon for Shelter.

Club Peloton is aligned with a selection of charity partners. The main beneficiary, Coram, receives two-thirds of grants from all fundraising events, while smaller grants are donated to Cyclists Fighting Cancer, Tom’s Trust and Multiple System Atrophy Trust. Coram supports children and young people from their earliest days to independence, creating a change that lasts a lifetime.

Shelter give information, support and advice to millions of people facing homelessness or experiencing housing issues with the overall aim to provide a safe, secure and affordable home for everyone.
