Resilient London: confronting climate change

Resilient London: confronting climate change

This multi-phase refurbishment of a 1970s office complex reimagines the site
as a new mixed-use part of the city. The completion of the final phase will see
the complex more than double in lettable area, as well as adding a hotel, public
swimming pool and gym, and new public realm. The scheme is an example of a
multi-phase, deep retrofit. The load-bearing structure of the original building will be
retained, while the facade will be upgraded to improve its performance and allow
for natural ventilation and very low energy cooling in the next phase of the project.
