EcoWorld London and Poplar HARCA’s redevelopment of Aberfeldy Village has taken a pioneering approach to meanwhile use that has injected life into the local area and boosted the outlooks of local traders.
As the 20-year scheme reached its midpoint in 2020, the unloved, half-empty Aberfeldy Street that sits at the heart of the scheme was transformed through a combination of physical improvements and support for local businesses. The success of the scheme has provided not only the joint venture with better knowledge of how to enhance a strong neighbourhood but is an example for London.
