Extension & refurbishment of a tired 1930s semi-detached home. The proposals maximise the ground floor arrangement & provide a master suite at second floor, all offering expansive views of the garden.

studioSH were engaged to extensively remodel this 1930s semi-detached property. The existing dwelling suffered from numerous ad-hoc extensions, the interiors were dated and the configuration was impractical. The proposals reinvigorate the ground floor; providing a generous kitchen-living space, well day-lit with an expansive relationship with the garden. The loft space has been converted into a master bedroom suite, accessed by a new, sculptural staircase. Oak detailing consolidates the proposal; from the ground floor glazing rising up the staircase and culminating in the loft picture window.
