Bracken House is a Grade II* listed icon retrofit by JRA to create a unified, contemporary workplace HQ.

John Robertson Architects (JRA) refurbished Grade II* Listed Bracken House in the City of London on behalf of the building’s long-term owner, Obayashi Corporation. Bracken House was originally designed by Sir Albert Richardson in 1959 as The Financial Times (FT) headquarters. Later, in 1988 it was extensively remodelled in the High-Tech style by Michael Hopkins & Partners. After an absence of almost 30 years, the team’s sensitive refurbishment has unified the designs and created an energy efficient, contemporary workplace with outstanding amenities, making it possible for the FT to return.
