Pilbrow & Partners are working with Waltham Forest Council and Soho Theatre to restore the Grade II* EMD cinema on Hoe Street to a live performance venue with a focus on comedy and community. The restoration of the EMD will form the centrepiece of the wider, culturally led regeneration initiative, promoted by Waltham Forest. It reconceives Hoe Street as the destination for a rich mix of entertainment, leisure and creative uses. The restoration complements the live performance venue with other dining and bar outlets, a foyer that will be busy over the course of the day and a separate independently accessed suite of accommodation for community and school events.
