Metropolitan Workshop were commissioned by Phoenix Community Housing to develop a back garden infill project consisting of 24 new affordable homes in the historic Bellingham Estate.

Metropolitan Workshop have designed 24 affordable homes for Phoenix Community Housing on a back garden site on the interwar Bellingham Estate. Designed to the Passivhaus Low Energy Building Standard, the proposals prioritise family homes and demonstrate how suburbia can be successfully intensified from 14 to 81dph. The architecture is inspired by local details from the Arts and Crafts movement.
