Extensive refurbishment and remodelling of a ground floor flat with charred larch folded volumetric rear extension providing bright spacious living area connecting to the mature garden beyond.

Internally, the volume is expressed with vaulted roof sections and exposed rafters providing visual interest and shading the southerly rooflight. Externally, the extension is clad in charred larch providing a rich contrast to the warm oak-lined window reveals and a wonderful, tactile finish. The simple monochromatic and oak palette is continued throughout the flat.
