A revived garden and setting for the area’s buildings, businesses, monuments and new public art pieces, celebrating the square’s intrinsic character by revealing historic vistas.

This reimagining of one of the West End’s most significant civic spaces will transform Hanover Square into a revived garden oasis for residents, workers and visitors. The design provides a revitalised setting for buildings, businesses, monuments and new public art. It celebrates the square’s intrinsic character, revealing historic vistas and celebrating its civic identity. By increasing pedestrian space, improving crossings, planting trees and improving cycle infrastructure, paving materials, street furniture, lighting and signage, the design elevates the experience of being in the square.
