Holland House

Built

The conservation of the Grade I listed Holland House has sought to remove a partially occupied ruin from Historic England’s Heritage at Risk Register.

This project has been shortlisted in the CONSERVATION category at the 2024 New London Awards.

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea commissioned a comprehensive repair of Holland House. The original Jacobean house had been badly bombed in 1940, and then partially rebuilt in the post war period by London County Council. Its conservation has
sought to both preserve the special character and significance of the ruin whilst
making it fit for its modern uses.
