John Morden Centre is a new day care centre at Morden College, a charity dedicated to residential care for the elderly in Blackheath, London. Established more than 300 years ago, the campus is centred around the grade I-listed Morden College designed by Sir Christopher Wren. The new day care centre forms a distinct yet discreet addition to the college, while providing a new space for residents, staff and visitors to meet and interact. Inspired by the material and spatial qualities of Wren’s building, the centre incorporates the latest thinking about sustainability to create a welcoming space.
