Resilient London: confronting climate change

The project is part of the DfE’s Sustainability Pilot Scheme. The proposals utilises
modern methods of construction which will reduce the construction impact
on the local community. The passive design of this building, through enhanced
thermal insulation and air tightness provides a 15 per cent reduction on energy
consumption, the application of renewable energy, a combination of PV panels
and Air Source Heat Pumps provides a further 48 per cent reduction in energy
usage, giving a combined improvement when compared to Building Regulations
compliance of 63 per cent.
