Shortlisted for the ENVIRONMENTAL Prize
This three-bed Passivhaus home is an exemplar of collaboration, innovation and solution-focused design. The building is designed so that the heat lost is no more than that generated by using the home. Set in a tight, urban infill site, previously Max’s garden, the project shows what is possible and achievable as a technical concept for the housing sector. The house features no wet heating system and draws on Max’s lifetime of work applying the principles of simplicity, practicality and replicability to the design of building’s and building services.
