Olympic Steps

Built

The Olympic Steps form a significant part of the new Wembley Park neighbourhood around Wembley Stadium.

The Olympic Steps form a significant part of the new Wembley Park neighbourhood around Wembley Stadium. They upgrade the main entrance route up to the stadium at the end of Olympic Way, the primary pedestrian route from Wembley Park station. This new arrangement enlarges the public realm at ground level and creates a sheltered space for public events, such as live performances and covered markets. Natural light is provided through 36 giant glass lights incorporated into the structure. Expedition’s structural design ensured that the old entrance could be replaced in two phases, allowing major events to continue during the demolition and construction works.
