Plaistow Hub will transform the area around Plaistow underground station with the redevelopment of two sites either side of the trainline. The scheme will provide much needed community facilities including a new library, neighbourhood centre, supermarket, gym and café. The design focuses on placemaking, with improvements to the public realm including a new square outside the station entrance to reduce congestion and enhance connectivity. Delivering 182 build-to-rent homes, the project will generate revenue to help fund the delivery of 112 new affordable homes within the borough.
