A reconfiguration of an Edwardian building for the Qingliang Buddhist Association, in the Nunhead Green Conservation area.

The conversion and extension of a dilapidated Edwardian Church and Hall in Peckham into a fully accessible Buddhist Centre. Rescuing a large building in serious disrepair, forming a new landmark within the Nunhead conservation area. Providing a welcoming space for the Buddhist community and the broader local community, this proposed centre has a variety of spaces to offer a peaceful place for worship, spiritual guidance, meditation, a vegetarian cafe, and teaching. The new additions enliven a plain building. These features reflect its Anglican past, and its new Buddhist architectural heritage.
