This is a retrofit project of a modern building reaching its 20th anniversary, which anticipates how to address wellbeing and design for later living in a period of environmental urgency.

Featured in Don't Move, Improve! 2021

Together with the eco-retrofit, which provides a more comfortable environment, the age-friendly adaptations ensure the building works for its owners as they grow older. The project is a model for how to design sustainable buildings for ageing well, and continues the spirit of research-through-practice that lies at the heart of the architects’ work.
