This victorian villa had previously been used by multiple occupants and over the years had fallen into disrepair. The spaces between rooms had been tortured to create several private domains. This did not suit the client’s growing family needs; therefore we devised a plan to open up the internal spaces, and connect them to the double width rear garden. The fabric of the house was also substantially upgraded with airtight finishes and a spray-applied insulation; technologies such as an MVHR system have been integrated to hugely improve the environmental performance.
