Our brief was to extend this 50 sqm flat to create a living space with three loft bedrooms in the Mapesbury conservation area. We flipped this strategy to provide a grand room in the roof. The ply panelled entrance draws the visitor into a vaulted loft bathed in light. The perimeter has ample storage for a clutter-free home. The kitchen island snakes up the split level to form a generous dining area. A 4m long bespoke steel light hovers delicately above, completing the centrepiece. Below, three elegant rooms complete this sanctuary for a growing family.
