Shortlisted in the HOUSING category
Sandpit Place is a new high density, low rise, street-based neighbourhood of 32 affordable rent homes, as part of an ambitious programme for the Royal Borough of Greenwich and Meridian Home Start. The brief was to provide high-quality public housing, densifying underutilised outer parts of the borough.  The houses are arranged as three back-to-back terraces running north to south across the site, creating new tree lined pedestrian mews streets.
