The Tailoring Academy brings clothing manufacture back to London's primary fashion districts, combining an National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) accredited training programme with fine tayloring for UK high street brands. The challenge lay in providing an inspirational workspace which would facilitate dialogue and exchange whilst maintaining separation between different functional uses. The project was conceived by Haringey Council and social enterprise Fashion Enter and funded by the Mayor of London. The work involved the conversion of a disused warehouse into a state of the art manufacturing and learning environment.
