The Highshore Heritage

Built

Respectful interventions, tactile materials, and a new spatial clarity breathe new life into a Grade II listed Georgian conservation area home.

A series of poorly executed modifications left this Grade II listed building with a disjointed and confusing internal layout and living accommodation spread across three floors. To unify the house, a new single-storey rear extension was added and the existing three-storey rear return was rebuilt more generously, thus providing a modern kitchen-diner and making the house’s unique raised sun room inhabitable.

In the original house, a series of sensitive interventions forge connections to reassert a clear spatial narrative, whilst outside the garden has been freshly landscaped.
