At the Naked House, we used a palette of sustainable materials to dramatically remodel and extend our client’s Victorian terrace, turning it into a lifetime home catering for a modern, growing family. We added a double-pitched mansard roof extension responding to the character of the Medway Conservation Area and a single-storey side extension containing a new kitchen and dining room, with an openable glazed corner, blurring the boundary between inside and out. We harnessed natural light at every opportunity, creating a sense of openness within a compact site.
