This was a full-scale conservation and restoration of the front facade of the Wallace Collection, including repairs to the Portico, stonework and the restoration of existing features and elements.

A full-scale conservation and restoration of the front facade of the Wallace Collection, making it safe and watertight. The discovery of corroding metalwork within numerous locations, along with trapped moisture due to previous remedial works had led to the accelerated deterioration to the external fabric. The works consisted of repairs to the Portico to remove corroded metalwork, repairs to fractures in the stonework, restoration of existing features including nineteen stone balconies, window heads and brick arches, stucco cornice, stone balustrades, chimneys and many other existing elements.
