DHaus have refurbished a 2-bedroom maisonette to form a triplex home, extending into the loft of a period property in North London using digital design as part of the fabrication process.

Shortlisted in Don't Move, Improve! 2021

In the loft we created a dormer with external terrace and inserted a glazed frameless glass double height space, so as one enters the apartment the giant up and over glass window completely opens up to the sky. To access the top level, we inserted a plywood staircase, perforated, that allows natural light to filter through the levels of the building, made from only two sheets of plywood and fabricated off site.
