Built

Four brickwork volumes have been added to the building, each one housing in turn; a new front entrance, a study, a kitchen and a dining space. The volumes wrap around the building, varying in scale and height and are constructed from brick to respect the proportions and character of the existing house.

The project takes its name from the large vaulted roof windows flooding the new dining space with natural light. One of the delights of this project is the contrast between the original spaces, with traditional covings and Georgian proportions, contrasted with the strikingly different new spaces.
