Shortlisted in the HOUSING category
Windmill Place is an example of how to densify London’s suburbs, sensitively responding to the local context and integrating car usage without it dominating the character of the development. The success of the scheme lies in its positive new communal environment, the mews, around which all homes enjoy a relationship and the activity of daily life. The project was commissioned by Brick By Brick, Croydon’s development company, and provides 24 new family homes and low rise flats in an outer suburb of the London Borough of Croydon.
