Our in-house delivery programme sets out to deliver a Fairer Westminster. This is the strategic vision of the council created in 2022, which marked a significant shift in the council’s administration for the first time since 1965.
At the heart of the vision is the need to deliver more truly affordable housing across the council’s housebuilding pipeline. The team, since adopting the strategy, have progressed key schemes which not only provide a stable home for residents in the long-term, but are providing an impact where need is the greatest. For example, all previous market sale homes prior to 2022 at 300 Harrow Road (61 Homes) and Westmead (41 Homes) are now delivered as affordable housing. We have also recently delivered 100% affordable developments such as 60 flats for community supportive housing at Daventry House, 26 apartments at Ashbridge and 34 at Darwin House. Our flagships schemes will deliver 370 council homes at Ebury and 622 at Church Street Sites A, B,C.
Our schemes also improve community infrastructure (enterprise spaces), sustainability (BREAAM accreditation at Ebury) and improved placemaking and connectivity (300 Harrow Road). With more than 2,300 homes in our current pipeline we are committed to looking forward continue our goals.
