Gerald Mills is a physical geographer at UCD, Dublin (Ireland) and has worked for more than 35 years on the climates of cities. He is a co-author of the book Urban Climates, a modern synthesis of the field, and is interested in integrating the knowledge of diverse urban disciplines on the impact of urbanisation on the atmosphere (and vice versa). His work focuses on observing and modelling the response of near-surface climates to urban design and planning.
