New London Awards 2022 Winner - BAFTA Headquarters

Comprehensive expansion & re-design of BAFTA’s grade II Listed 195 Piccadilly HQ. This project undertook a collaboratively bold/sensitive heritage approach creating new top floor by raising/restoring two huge Victorian rooflight structures & decorative plaster lost 40+ years from original 1883 Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours, built ‘opposing’ the Royal Academy.

The project enhances BAFTA’s international identity as the centre of excellence for motion picture arts Film, Games & TV; integrating innovative technology & multi-use efficiency, while balancing new talent support, learning & public access, with members’ needs & revenue, ensuring the charity’s social, environmental & economic sustainability.
