Claudia is a Venezuelan architect who started her career at the National Housing Council, leading slum upgrading projects in Caracas. She then did a PhD in Urbanism in Barcelona and was part of the small team that developed the Montmeló Local Plan, which won the National Urban Design First Prize in Spain (2011). Since 2014, Claudia has been working in Transport for London, where she developed the Strategic Cycling Analysis (2017) and the successful bid for Housing Infrastructure Fund to increase Docklands Light Railway capacity and support London’s sustainable growth (2018). She loves teaching and lectures at the MSc Transport and Mobility Systems (UCL) and at the MSc in Sustainable Urban Development (University of Oxford). In 2025, Claudia won the King’s Foundation Award for Teaching.
