Heloise Desaissement
Heloise is a thoughtful designer, who’s eagerness to work collaboratively with local communities and her passion for sustainability are inherent throughout her work.

Heloise is a registered architect in France and the UK. Her studies at the Ecole Nationale Superieure d’Architecture de Paris-la-Villette and at the Waterford Institute of Technology in Ireland culminated in a collaborative project that re-defined administrative and physical boundaries along the river Seine in Paris
After graduating, Heloise participated in a number of self-built projects including the Bellastock Festival in Acheres and ScolarRom in Champs-Sur-Marne, where she worked with traveller children to build a mobile classroom. She went on to tackle urban design and housing projects at Philipon Kalt Architects, BNR Architects and ITAR Architects in Paris, before joining JKA in 2016.

Heloise’s enduring commitment to community participation and her passion for sustainability informs her approach to each stage of a project, from concept development through to managing works on site. She was project architect of JKA’s award-winning projects:  Tailoring Academy in Haringey, Fore Street Living Room Library (Council Library retrofit) and Angel Yard (Affordable workspaces).
She led our recently completed Tottenham Town Centre Heritage initiative, and she is currently leading the Paper Gardenproject in Canada Water and an existing building retrofit project into workspaces for communities and creative enterprises as part of the Future High Streets Scheme in Ramsgate.
