Matt is Strategic Communications Director at Heatherwick Studio, a global design practice of 250 problem solvers dedicated to making the physical world around us better for everyone www.heatherwick.com. He has previously held leadership roles with international NGOs, public bodies and a FTSE 100 business in the property, design and development sectors. 

He sits on the board of Local Trust, a 15-year lottery-funded programme pioneering new ways of building community across the UK. He is also chair and co-founder of Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair, an accessible platform at the cutting edge of art curation, and co-creator of a pioneering visual arts project called the Young London Print Prize www.woolwichprintfair.com. 

For ten years he was the Chair of Hope and Homes for Children, an international charity that works to stop the institutionalisation of children www.hopeandhomes.org. He also jointly devised the award-winning Street Elite programme which uses sport and mentoring to tackle unemployment and alienation among young adults.
