Matt started his career working on the London 2012 Athlete’s Village and since then has experience on a variety of projects in London including East Village, Kings Gate and the Zig Zag Building, White City Place, One Bishopsgate Plaza, Camden Town Hall and 7 Burlington Gardens. He also spent three years working for Fletcher Construction in Wellington, New Zealand, on a data centre project.
During the course of his career, Matt has developed a passion for creating a more sustainable and inclusive built environment and is always looking at how we can remove barriers to access in our industry. He is a mental health first aider, chairs the Bovis All Abilities Network and is an active member of the Bovis Climate Action Group. He is involved with several industry initiatives including the City of London Skyline Skills Hub, the Inclusive Spaces & Places Industry Group, the Equitable Safety Initiative and the Supply Chain Sustainability School Retrofit group. He regularly engages with/supports schools and universities, is actively working on industry guidance around removing barriers to access, is working on a funded project to improve the industry for people with disabilities and engages in research collaborations within the industry as well as with higher education institutions.
