AKT II

Valentina Galmozzi
Valentina is a design director with the London-headquartered, design-led engineering practice AKT II, and offers strategic insight from much of the firm’s London work.
Her award-winning design experience ranges from the sensitive reporpusing of the Grade 1 listed Shrewsbury Flax Mill with FSBS architects, the refurbishment of Arding&Hobbs, the historical department store in Clapham Junction with Stiff&Trevillion Architects, and now the refurbishment of the historic Smithfield Market buildings to house the new Museum of London, with Stanton Williams, Asif Khan and Julian Harrap Architects.
Valentina has also been involved in the particularly complex and sensitive redevelopment at 100 Liverpool Street with Hopkins Architects, the first British Land ‘Net zero’ building in the UK. The former is seeing a significant increase in NIA, reusing much of the existing, without access to the basement and foundations due to continuing occupation.
