This Evening Talk in association with McLaren explores the opportunities for housing delivery through estate regeneration.
As part of the NLA’s housing programme, this Evening Talk in association with McLaren examines the evolving landscape of estate regeneration in London and the opportunities it offers to help deliver the homes that we urgently need.
Estate regeneration in London represents one of the capital's most significant opportunities to deliver much-needed homes, improve communities, and create lasting social value. Yet the path from ambition to delivery remains challenging, with projects often hampered by fragmented governance, funding difficulties, and the need to balance competing priorities across multiple stakeholders. What are the factors that have added to the complexity of unlocking estate regeneration? And how can we ensure that regeneration is planned with long-term adaptability and resilience over decades?
This talk brings together local authorities, housing associations, developers, and other stakeholders to explore how London can move from fragmented approaches to integrated delivery models that work at scale. We'll examine the practical challenges of coordinating large-scale regeneration programmes, the innovative partnership structures that are proving successful, and the importance of maintaining community trust throughout the process.
Join us to contribute to the conversation shaping the future of sustainable housing for current and future Londoners.
