New London Architecture

Performance in the Public Realm

Talk

Monday 28 October 2019
18:30 - 21:00

Inspired by the exhibition 'Urban Bodies', join us for presentations and a panel discussion exploring the links between architecture and performance.

The Urban Bodies exhibition is a documentation of the imaginative, immersive performance by Willi Dorner exploring the relationship between bodies and urban spaces.

How does performance impact upon contemporary spaces and more historic environments? What effect can performance have on the lives of city workers and citizens? How can architecture be perceived through the body and how can performance lead us to a better understanding of the public spaces we are using every day?
