Join Permasteelisa Group to explore how blast-resistant façade engineering balances architectural performance, security, resilience and sustainability through expert-led technical insights and case studies.

This webinar will examine the market need to balance high-performance architectural design with physical security. It will offer practical, engineering-led insights into how bomb blast-resistant engineering shapes building façades.

Led by industry experts at Permasteelisa Group, the technical briefing will give members insight into threat levels for façades. This will include a comparative look at Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure (CPNI) frameworks and the structural differences between standard and blast-enhanced building envelopes.

The speakers will explore how different materials behave under extreme dynamic loading (blast pressures), real-world applications across single- and double-skin façades, Closed Cavity Façades (CCF) and high-performance brackets, as well as physical testing collaborations.

The session will offer in-depth analysis of the design process, including calculation methodologies, independent validation, and patenting innovations. It will also examine the potential for structural resilience in refurbishment projects, the integration of blast and/or bullet-resistance, and the relationship between blast-resistant engineering and meeting carbon goals.

Finally, a panel discussion will bring in additional speakers to explore these principles in practice.
